OX-TRAN® Model 2/12


The OX-TRAN® Model 2/12 is used to detect and measure small amounts of oxygen as it passes through barrier materials such as plastics and composites that are used in all types of packaging. OX-TRAN systems enable you to measure the effects of temperature and relative humidity on high-barrier films and packages. By using an electrochemical sensor, this system provides a high sensitivity even in the presence of water vapor. This makes it ideal for deciding how thick and what barrier material will best suit the project at hand. It is also well suited for incoming QC situations to measure vendor compliance with your specifications.

All test results are recorded by refined, user-friendly software that provides graphs, tables, and numerical listings. In addition to barrier oxygen transmission testing, another configuration of the “2/12” is designed to measure high transmission rates for fresh-cut produce packaging applications.

OX-TRAN® Model 2/61


The OX-TRAN® 2/61 is the new modern addition in permeation test systems for measuring oxygen transmission rates of barrier films and packages. This model is used to detect and measure small amounts of oxygen as it passes through barrier materials such as plastics and composites used in all forms of packaging.


Ideal systems for production and QC/QA testing applications. This system incorporates the latest in high-sensitivity sensor design and includes 6 test cells for flexibility and speed. Includes precise RH & temperature measurement and control, user selectable sensitivity, package testing capabilities and N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standard and Technology) traceable calibration films.




OX-TRAN® Model 702


The OX-TRAN Model 702 is part of Mocon’s modern permeation instrument family, used for oxygen transmission rate (OTR) testing, including high-quality technology that sets a new standard for accuracy, throughput, and ease of use.

The simple design is ideal for quality control as well as research and development. The OX-TRAN Model 702 includes a convenient QuickStart feature which enables an operator to begin testing within moments. The model also includes standard security features to protect critical test setups and control multiple-user situations.

It is certified traceable to NIST and is CFR21 Part 11 compliant. Unique Cell Design

The advanced pneumatic push-button test cells are designed to accommodate standard 50 cm2 samples. These samples can be easily prepared as the cell structures are removable and include an improved surface finish with Nichrome plating for durability. The seven test cells are independently controlled, which makes it possible to run three sets of duplicate samples while allowing for one user-provided reference material.

OX-TRAN® Model 1/50


This oxygen transmission rate analyser has many features and is designed for simple out-of-the box user installation and is packed with new technology. This includes an absolute coulometric method, with added software to reduce user error and automatic relative humidity controls.

The OX-TRAN Model 1/50 provides MOCON accuracy and combines it with a new patent pending coulometric method for accurate readings, eliminating the need to calibrate. The OX-TRAN® Model 1/50 includes a standard Quick Start® function which speeds set-up time. Frequency Modulation RH Control™, provides faster and automatic relative humidity controls – a feature which is not generally found even on more expensive units which allow real-life testing conditions.
